Regular contributors and even supervisors can not add a thread on the board index in the Community Forum. Only those with the 'advanced powers' can do so. But, you can add a thread/topic on the subforums. For example, you want to add a thread on the 'Just Chatting' forum.
# Click Just Chatting # Scroll down until you find the New Topic option # It will take you to the Post New Topic Page # Fill in the Subject and what you would like to write # If you want to see how your post would look like once it has been posted, click Preview # Click Submit to add your new topic # Done! You could always edit your post by clicking the edit link in the right top corner of the post!
Log into your account, or sign up.When you have done that, click "Community Forum" on the left toolbar, under the "Quick Links" heading. Then post a new thread in the "Suggestion Box" section of the forum.

Sometimes we like to leave threads around for someone to look at later. If you have a good reason to want your thread deleted, contact a supervisor. It would open room for abuse. If someone didn't like how their thread was going, they could delete it. If you would like it implemented, post in the suggestion box section in the Community Forum
Contributors can no longer make new threads in the Community Forum. This was done as an effort to curb the amount of spam posted in the forums. If you would like to see a new thread created, you should contact a Supervisor or Community Assistant who should be able to help you out.
