If they have only one Stardust/AM then use divine wrath. If they have more than one Stardust/AM and another Stardust Dragon(s) faced up on the field then use cards like lightning vortex, dark hole, etc... so that the dragon will tribute (cost) itself to negate ->send to the graveyard, then chain a divine wrath to it. Since divine wrath is spell speed 3, another Stardust/AM cannot chain to it because Stardust(s) is spell speed 2. In conclusion, the chain resolves backward with divine wrath negates the effect of the "tributed" Stardust/AM in the graveyard, and since the effect was negated then lightning vortex or dark hole will resolve normally, destroying all monsters. Other Stardust(s) cannot chain to the destruction because the chain is resolving.
Note: Stardust/AM cannot summon another Stardust Dragon back since its effect was negated in the graveyard and not "face-up" on the field. However if your opponent has another Stardust Dragon on the field when lightning vortex revolves then the "face-up" Stardust/AM will be able to summon it.
Ex:
1) You have a face-down Divine Wrath
2) Your opponent have x2 Stardust/AM and x1 Stardust Dragon all face up.
*He/she doesn't a have another Stardust Dragon in the graveyard.
3) You activate lightning vortex (Chain 1).
4) Your opponent chain Stardust/AM effect to negate your card effect (Chain 2).
*Stardust/AM tribute itself as a cost and send to the graveyard.
5) You activate Divine Wrath to negate the effect of Stardust/AM while it is in the graveyard (Chain 3).
*Divine Wrath is spell speed 3 and cannot be chained by other Stardust(s).
*The tributed Stardust/AM is not "face-up" on the field at that time.
6) Chain resolves backward with Divine Wrath negates the effect of Stardust/AM, allowing lightning vortex to resolve normally.
7) All faced up monsters your opponent control is then destroyed simultaneously.
8) Now the chain has resolved, triggered effects can activate in a new chain - this is when the second Stardust AM will activate. Since the Stardust Dragon went to the graveyard at the same time, it means it's there in the graveyard when Assault Mode activates, and can be selected as a target. Timing is not missed simply by going to the graveyard simultaneously to the Assault Mode, because it's only after this that Assault Mode activates and looks for a target.
no it does not because stardust only stops effects that "destroy" a card(s) "remove" is different and therefore stardust cannot negate the effect Also you can get a card called divine wrath in a pack and negate it. - [Kaizoku] -Stardust Dragon/Assault mode can, Stardust Dragon can only negate destruction.
I'm assuming this is a TV show question. And the answer is Yes.
Stardust Dragon can only be used against effects that will destroy a card on the field.
The effect of Call of the Haunted that destroys the monster it summons, is not something that 'activates'. Because it does not activate, there is nothing for Stardust Dragon to chain to.
The protective effect of Jewel Flare Dragon - Stardust (Stardust Radiance Dragon) only protects the target from being destroyed. Dimensional Prison banishes the target, it does not destroy it, so the protective effect does not stop it.
Yes, as long as the first is destroying a card on the field. For example, if Zaborg the Thunder Monarch was summoned, and targeted a monster, then the opponent could use his Stardust Dragon to negate Zaborg's effect and destroy him. Because this Stardust Dragon is also trying to destroy a card on the field, the turn player could use his own Stardust Dragon against it. However, if the turn player used Exiled Force, then Stardust Dragon can be chained to this. However this Stardust will not be destroying a card on the field - the Exiled Force went to the graveyard as a cost. So a second Stardust could not stop the first in this case.
Tuner's Scheme has a destruction effect, but it does not 'activate'. Stardust Dragon's negation effect can only chain to destruction effects that activate, so it can't be used against the destruction caused by cards like Tuner's Scheme or Call of the Haunted. Stardust Dragon may also not stop Tuner's Scheme's initial resolution. While it does have a destruction effect on one part of the card, Stardust Dragon can also only be used against an effect which will destroy something on resolution.
Probably never, it's both his ace and favorite card.
No. Like other negation cards such as Skill Drain, Wicked Rebirth does not stop Stardust Dragon activating its effect. If Stardust activates, then it goes to the graveyard. That means it is no longer being targeted by Wicked Rebirth, so the effect will be able to resolve correctly.
No, Stardust Dragon can only stop a spell's destruction effect if the spell destroys something when it initially resolves. It cannot stop the destruction effect if it happens at a later time. That's because in game terms, the 'activation of a spell card' is when you initially place the spell card on the field, or flip it from being face down. Any activation that card might have afterwards is actually an 'activation of the effect of an already-active spell card'. Quite often, 'activation negation' effects can only chain to that initial activation, not the subsequent ones. Therefore, Stardust Dragon can stop Smashing Ground, as that destroys on resolution of its initial activation. But it cannot stop Ancient Forest - Ancient Forest doesn't destroy anything on resolution, and things like Prime Material Dragon and Stardust Dragon can't be used againsts its subsequent destruction effect. Ekibyo Drakmord is the same. Because it doesn't destroy anything when it first resolves, Stardust Dragon can't be used against it. Later, when it uses its destruction effect, this is not the 'activation of the spell card', Stardust Dragon can't be used against it.
No, for two reasons. 1 - If you are negating Stardust Dragon's summon, then it is not considered to be on the field yet, and since it's not on the field, none of its effects are active, nor can be activated. It can only use its negation effect after it is successfully summoned to the field. 2 - Even assuming Black Horn of Heaven is being used against something else, then Stardust Dragon still can't stop it. Black Horn of Heaven is Spell Speed 3. Stardust Dragon's quick effect is spell speed 2 and cannot be chained to it. Also - Black Horn of Heaven does not target.
Firstly, Stardust Dragon can only negate effects that destroy cards on the field. Secondly, Exodia the Forbidden One's effect is not something that is activated, the game ends immediately. You cannot stop it with cards like Divine Wrath, etc. In other words it connot be stopped by any card.
