Itching gums are the result of inadequate oral hygiene, try brushing 3 times a day using the modified Bass technique, use dental floss before you brush, you should insert the floss between your teeth with a 45 degrees angle and move the floss against your teeth in a upward and downward, use listerine mouthwash. Itching also sometimes happens when woman have high hormonal surge and this causes an edema in their gum so the teeth and gum are harder to keep clean, hence there is an accumulation of food debris and bacterial products which cause irritation. There could be more of a reason then this.
