I know this from having ravenously curly and long hair, myself, and from much trial and error.
I understand you want to have healthy hair without split ends, and there are very many ways in which you can do this. But some of the best methods, unfortunately, requires heat. It's all about protection, protection, protection...
If your hair is corkscrew curly like mine, you usually have to soak it in heat-protecting product in order for your style to stay. But in order to not burn your hair, don't be fooled by straighteners that straighten your hair when it's soaking wet. No matter what they say, that will burn your hair more than anything, a make it dry and brittle. Dry your hair with no product, and then put in the heat-protecting product. This make a barrier around your hair for protection. Me, personally, I use TRESemme Heat-Protection Spray. It's not terribly expensive and works. After this, straighten hair SLOWLY, and in sections. And viola! Your hair is straight and isn't terribly damaged.
But if your hair is wavy/thin, you may be able to get away with a faster remedy. My hair is normal/thick, but I do this to straighten my bangs with little damage: Get a blow dryer, any kind. Then, get one of those 360, circular brushes. Spritz on some heat protecting product, and then take a section of hair through the brush. Starting at the roots, apply the heat to the section of hair in the brush, and then make your way down with the hairdryer and the brush. This result may not last as long and may not be as effective, but it's less damage on your hair.
you need to set the straightener to setting to where it wont burn you hair and dont leave the straighttner on your hair for a long time. also straighten medium strands not to thin not to thick .
You straighten hair without heat by simply washing it with shampoo and good-quality conditioner. (You can do this with cold water.)
There are no shampoos that straighten African American hair. Ways of straighten the hair is by a relaxer, using a flat iron or by blow drying it straight.
You can try and blow-dry it straight, or use products that help make it straight. If your worried about frying your hair, there are also a lot of safe straighteners and protection products that keep your hair from burning. <3
Straighten it
you an brush it 137 times and it will straighten your hair
twice
Yes. Straightening is basically the burning of your hair. It strips of natural properties and will make it very dry etc
You can straighten your hair whether or not it is relaxed.
where can i find pictures of straighten hair
You can't unless its naturally straight genius.
Your hair shouldn't smell after you straighten it. That is if your doing it the right way. But if your not, it causes you rhair to have a funky odor. Like the smell of burning flesh. If it does smell then the heat is up to high and it will cause your hair to smell and sometimes break-off, or have so called split ends.
