well, whenever I'm shy around boys/boyfriends, i usually get my friend to ask them the things I'd like. for example get your friend to hint you want a hug. then by the time you have done that a few times you will automatically start doing it yourself!

(pretend his name is Brandon)
Hi Brandon
How are you?
How is your day?
What makes your day so good/bad?
Cool, so what's going on
Ok so that is just how to start it off. Then just continue in from there and tell him whatever random things pop up into your mind.
Some good topics are:
-hobbies
-sports
-television
-embarrassing moments
-something to laugh about
-himself/yourself
-ask him open ended questions, not yes or no questions
-your interests
-his interests
-things you have in common
All of these topics should create conversations. But remember, you don want to talk about yourself too much or he might get annoyed. Guys like to talk about themselves. And please, do not take out your phone every 5 minutes. That will really irritate him. And then DO NOT treat him like he is one of your girlfriends.. As much. Because guys do not care about the latest fashion or the details of a pretty dress. And they will think your crazy if you talk to them about shoes. All of that is gurl talk. Talk to him more about what your girlfriends talk about but just no girl talk. It's be yourself and don't try too hard to impress him.

∙ 16y agoObviously if he's your boyfriend he must love you just the way you are. Many men don't like 'chatty Cathy's' and prefer a woman of few words. If he enjoys talking then let him talk. Give yourself time to get to know him and as time passes you will feel more comfortable with him. Don't be afraid to communicate your problems to him (he should be your best friend) and just let him know you are shy. I'm sure he knows this already. Just be you and Mother Nature will take care of the rest.

Well, I think that being a boyfriend, or girlfriend in this case, means that you need to talk to him. If you really like him then you would want to talk to him all the time. The point of being in a relationship is getting to know your girlfriend/boyfriend better. If you don't talk to him, how are you and your boyfriend going to build a stronger relationship? So to answer your question, No I don't think you are being a 'good' girlfriend if you never talk to him.
