A baby calf is just that: a baby, not an animal that is able to breed yet. Calves are only able to breed by the time they are around 15 months of age, and at that age they have lost their calf stage.

The above answer is incorrect as a heifer calf can be bred at a very young age, as soon as she comes into heat which could be as early as 5 months old and this will likely then cause birthing difficulties.
