In order for a film to get an R rating in terms of sexual content, you have to cram a lot of sex in there.

Some directors contracts require them to deliver a certain rating to the film studio. For example, a director is required to make a PG-13 film. When he submits it to the MPAA, it gets an R rating. He would have to re-cut the film and resubmit it to get the required PG-13.
