Pokemon Diamond and Pearl how can you tell its night?

Its actually already set as day or night automatically when you first start the game but you can't actually see it in the game however evolving Pokemon that depends on the time like evee will let you know if its day or night.

The screen will have a somewhat dark blue tint to it. If your time on your Nintendo DS is up to sync, when it is nighttime in reality it should be nighttime in the game. Dusk has a yellow-orange tint to it, just in case the in-game clock is incorrect. If you can't really tell the differences of the color tints, if you check the "Area" section of the Pokedex on any Pokemon, the dial will be in what time of day it is (Morning, Day, Night).

Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen do not have a day and night time so it will always be day.

For Pokemon that need to evolve at night (such as Umbreon), you will have to get one by trading it from Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald.

You can tell when it is nighttime when everything gets darker than what you would usually see during the daytime, since Pokemon Diamond turns nighttime in real time.

by your ds time in options or if you look in your pokedex one of the Pokemon if you look in area you might understand me if not sorry hope it helps though
