This depends on what oil sensor you are asking about.
The oil pressure sensor light on the dash will light up every time on the dash just before you start your car and go out as soon as the car starts.
If you mean your oil level sensor then you need to turn your key on, DO NOT START THE ENGINE!!, while the oil is drained durring your next oil change. If you pay a quick lube place then warn the person you wish to do this!
AMSoil works great.
I use AMSoil, works awesome.
It is on the passenger side of the block, below the exhaust manifold and next to the oil filter. It is a covered by a bell shaped rubber boot with wires coming out of it. Steve There may also be a oil temperature sensor if you have a turbo model , It is on the oil pan....
change the oil pump sensor.
Remove oil pressure sensor and install a manual gauge
You can pressure test with a gauge using sensor location
It will be a oil pressure sensor
Yes
5 quarts of oil
You didn't say what the problem is. But if you question the sensor, replace it, it probably cost lest than $20.
You should put 3 quarts of oil in your 1986 300zx Turbo and then let it run for 30 seconds. After that, check the oil level and fill it until the oil on the dipstick is level with the H.
Most oil pressure gauges operate by a varying voltage. The oil pressure changes the resistance in the oil sensor, causing the gauge to change readings.
