How you know this bear is a true first edition:

1. It is a 1997 bear.

2. It has a PE pellet Tush tag.

3. It was handmade in China (and this is explicit on the swing tag).

4. It is a numbered bear! There is a red circle stamp inside the Tush tag, very clearly visible.

4. The rose is white and has the LIGHT green stem, not the sea-foam colored stem that came later.

5. There is a red star on the Tush tag to the upper left side of the TY brand heart.

6. The swing tag is first edition.

7. The fur is the darker shade of purple, with the purple ribbon around the neck.
