Well yes, playstation did get hacked and the network was down for just about a month. There was a smart Alec who wanted to cheat so he hacked into the playstation network and he got reported and after hey found this out, playstation did a big overhaul from scratch to the P.S. network to make the security much higher.

∙ 11y agoOnly one PS3 is able to be signed on at a time with a Playstation Network account. It is best not to have given away your password and to change it if someone else knows your password. Most computer security recommend changing your password often. Not being able to sign in to your Playstation Network account and not getting a new password link are good indications that your account has been hacked and the password and email address changed.
