tell somebody or call the police cause it could get serious.
When you are being followed, assuming it is someone who intends harm to you, and you are in a car, drive safely and legally to a place where bad people don't like to go such as a police or highway patrol office; failing that a fire station is usually a place where you can get help. Call 911 and tell the dispatcher what is happening and where you are. The dispatcher can usually help you get to a place of safety. Do not stop and do not confront the person. Do not drive insanely. One strategy to get away is to put just a little distance in between and make a turn the follower can't see. Remember that most of the times when it appears someone is following you, it is purely coincidence. It could be an unmarked cop car. On foot, the best thing is to get to a public place and call 911 for help.
