There are many ways. Bubble nests say they are happy in there current environment. they will swim around to get your attention and will respond to your voice.
Simple observation is the only way to tell. Bettas are just like all other fish. If they are given proper conditions they should be OK. Proper conditions for a Betta are :- 1 inch of fish needs a minimum of 1 gallon of water. (Bettas are slightly more than a 2 inch fish) Every tank needs a permanently running cycled filter. :- every tank need to have at least 50% of its water changed every week.. Observe those rules and your Betta will be happy if you also feed him at least 2 times daily.
Yor fish should be active and free from blemishes, white spots or fungal infections on its body. The odd mark or missing scale is not a problem as they grow back quickly. The fish should be swimming freely and not breathing constantly at the water's surface and able to swim up and down in the tank without a problem. The colours should be bright and healthy looking and the fins erect and standing proud. If possible you should watch to see the fish feeding or digging throught the gravel as this is a good indication of a healthy fish.
If your betta is happy, he will most likely build a bubble nest and respond to your voice. He will not stay in one spot for to long and will eat his food. To keep a Betta happy try to keep him in a 2.5 gallon tank at the least and make sure you have live plants and a place for him to hide. Use a water conditioner, most commonly found at any pet store.
if your goldfish is under stress it'll not be eating and will ussaly be at the bottom of it's bowl. if it's with another goldfish you may want to separtat them
it might be too small of a bowl!
you can know if your goldfish is ill by how it behaves. if it sits at the bottom of the tank motionless, you could try buying a machine that makes bubbles (not sure what its called). just go to the pet store and ask the manager. if your fish is floating at the top, its too late and you should give it a proper funeral. some ways to take care of your fish is making sure there isn't too many in there. another way is getting a filter. just make sure to replace the snakelike cloth. =D
If they are lively and eat their food and if they are shiny. If they swim in circles and laugh!! :)
A healthy goldfish will be eating vigorously and swimming actively at the middle of your aquarium.
Your goldfish will start to act funny and not like usual. For example stop eating.
it stops swimming
ya
It's all in the tail. the males is larger and longer and the females is shorter.
Male Betta fish make bubble nests when they are happy ^^ I have only had male Betta fish and after a day or two of playing with them and feeding them or even just talking to them they make their nests to show you that you made them happy.
the size of it's fins and body
No betta fish are carnivores.
other Betta fish and the bigger fish.
Betta fish do not eat fish.
Well, if you love your Betta fish, then it should live by itself. But if you add another Betta to your current Betta fish's tank, then they will start a fight because Betta Fish are Siamese fighting fish and if one Betta is in contact of another Betta, the possible reason would be a fight between them two.
A betta is a fish of the species Betta, especially Betta splendens, commonly known as the Siamese fighting fish.
feed it and then give it a female beta fish. if you do this in the wrong order he will eat the female and waste your food.
You would surely be aware if Bettas have been spawing in your tank. If they have, and nothing else has been spawning in there, then in all probablility the tiny fish you can see will be Betta.
