If your a talking in refernce to their stucutre then they are not the same at all. If you are talking in refernce to their naming then it is because they tend to follow each other. They veins are not named after the arteries of vice versa though they are each given the most logical names accoding to their lofaction in the body and the route they take especially their destiny.
