Click on Help in the toolbar and then About Internet Exployer. The version number can be found there. Answer To check the version of the internet explorer go to HELP > and click on "About internet options" > a page will display , on its top you can check the version of your internet explorer . To find it look to the upper right of your IE browser window you will see several icons along the words Page and Tools. Next to the word tools you will see two small arrows pointing to the right. Click on them and you will see a drop down menu that says Help. And when you click HELP another drop down will show a list that includes "About Internet Explorer". Click that and you will find the version of your IE. Why Microsoft's best and brightest makes it so hard to find this feature is beyond me. I shake my head in disbelief everytime I am helping a friend with this issue. Maybe it has changed in Version 8. I think I download it now and check it out.
