I just had to replace mine... this may be a lame answer but since there is none here at all!! We took a workng one from another engine that fit and it caused the motor in question to return to both cylinder full power. Have no idea about an electrical test. My cd unit was available to DEALERS ONLY online...

It could be a dirty lens for the laser, could be a CD that is in upside down, could be a bad spindle motor, bad sled motor, etc. Try a CD player cleaner and see if that helps. If not, ask somebody to get you a new unit, along with the adaptor for Christmas.
A CD storage unit is for the storage and organization of CDs. It is convenient, light, and affordable.
Make sure power is on to the unit then select CD
Try disconnection the unit wait 1 or 2 minutes and reconnect. It may reset unit and maybe eject cd.
Yes, if it is an MP3 CD Player. I don't believe that there are any of these that will not play a regular CD.
