you can trade Pokemon from older games from generations 3, 4, and 5, but you cant trade the Pokemon back. You also have to beat the game to trade the Pokemon. Once you beat the game, you go to the route between black city and Nimbasa. If you take the bridge go into the big fancy looking building and some lab lady will take you to some crazy guy who will let you use the poketransfer.
