Firstly, you need to become verified. If you haven't already been through the process, you will see a link on your PayPal account summary page encouraging you to do so. Once verified, use the "withdraw" tab and enter the amount that you want to draw down to your bank account. The transfer will reach your bank account a few days later.

∙ 11y agoThere are a number of ways they can do it. Your paypal account id is your email address. Just by having your email address that you created the account in someone can send you money by using the "send money" tab in your account. That simple. Another way is by you creating buttons, or sending money requests. There is a "money request" button in your account, just enter someone else's paypal email address and request money. I have included a link below on how to create a donation button. When someone presses it, they will be forwarded to the paypal screen to send you money.

If you have a balance in your PayPal account, for example, if someone has sent you some money or you have sold something through an auction site and so received money into your PayPal account, this will always be taken first to pay for anything you buy using the PayPal account. If that balance doesn't cover the entire cost of your purchase, the remainder outstanding will automatically be taken from your bank or credit card, depending which you have registered to your PayPal account.
