Well you cannot update my security but you can update yours. Turn the computer off, disconnect it from the internet, place a hardware firewall in front of it so it is behind a NAT, turn on Windows firewall, run anti-virus.
It is okay. However, you should manually go to Windows Update every once in a while. Or install a program like Belarc Advisor which you can periodically run to tell you what updates you need.
Windows uses the registry to read all its settings. Most of these settings are wrote in binary form. If the registry is corrupt you need to re-install the program that is showing you the message that it is corrupt. If you can't turn on your computer because it says corrupt, you need to re-install windows
When automatic update is turned on, most updates will be downloaded and installed onto the computer automatically. If update is not turned on a user can go to the Control Panel to turn on automatic updating.
u could need an update, or turn windows messenger off.
Not sure what you are trying to update. Sometimes when you update something on your computer, you have to turn your computer off and then turn it back on for all the updates to install.
Setting up Windows Update is simple: Just go to the Microsoft Update website. If you've already got automatic updating turned on, Windows Update in Control Panel will open and show your update status. If it's not yet turned on, you'll be guided through the steps to do so. After that, all the latest security and performance improvements will be installed on your PC quickly and reliably. When you turn on automatic updating, most updates will download and install without you having to lift a finger. But sometimes Windows Update will need your input during an installation.
Go to the Windows Settings menu from the Control panel.Select the Update & Security icon. Now, click the Windows Security menu from the left side pane.Select the Virus & threat protection option and then click on Manage settings.Under Virus & threat protection, switch off the Real-time protection to Turn Off Antivirus.
