There are some features on offer from the Dell Inspiron 9400 that may be of some interest. It is stated that the Dell Inspiron 9400 has enough power to whiz through virtually all tasks from video playing to editing due to it's Intel Core Duo Processor.
Video editing software comes in all shapes and sizes, focusing on everyone from the amateur to professional video editor. Video editing software allows you to manipulate recorded videos with special text, graphics and effects. The creative applications are endless with video editing software. Most software packages for personal use allow you to save your videos in a format that is accepted by video sharing sites, such as Youtube. The price of video software varies greatly, depending on its features.
Terrible, you need a dual core processor and a couple gigs of ram to video edit properly.
I believe what you mean is the graphics card as well as the processor. My suggestion to you is to buy at least a quad core of 2.4 GHz as the minimum. Additionally, a good graphics card will decrease the wait time of rendering videos and video editing. Lastly, have at least 4 GB's of RAM on your computer. Good luck!
All Dell lists on their website is that it has an Intel HD Graphics Card.

You will have purchase NVidia video card and install it in your computer. But be careful make sure that your computer supports upgrade you are about to do. Modern video cards require at least PCI-E x16 port. As result not all computers even new support video upgrade from onboard video to dedicated video card.
The best will be one with the most ram and a grest graphics card. And HP is pretty good for these things.
The 6400's with the integrated Intel video cannot be upgraded/changed. The 6400's with ATI or Nvidia video can be upgraded/changed. If you currently have a x1300, you can upgrade to a x1400 or the Nvidia Go 7300 TurboCache. The x1400 is, although cheaper, superior to the Nvidia card. I wouldn't recommend replacing/upgrading the cards yourself. This will void your warranty with the possibility of ruining your computer. My recommendation would be to sell your current system, and purchase a higher end one.
