"Usurious" means lending money at a much higher interest rate than anyone else, or charging more than anyone else. These rates are usurious - I am going to Citibank instead!

I can't think of any reasonable way of using the word "usury" or any of its derivatives that does not relate to finance. I suppose you could talk about "emotional usury" or something, but it's kind of an awkward metaphor. There's probably a better word.
