Your wife, as an authorized user, is not liable for those debts. Have your wife's name removed from the accounts. Wait at least 30 days and then she can try disputing those tradelines with the credit bureaus.

What can you do if you were an authorized user on a credit account and the main cardholder stopped paying and now your credit score has been lowered because the delinquency was reported on your credit?

There's a difference between an authorized user and a joint account holder. If you were simply an authorized user, meaning that the other person is soley responsible for the account and you only have a card in your name, then the delinquency shouldn't be showing up on your credit at all. You aren't the holder of the account. If this is the case, you need to immediately file a dispute claim with the agenicies reporting the delinquency; they, then, must investigate and tell you the outcome of the investigation. If, however, you are a joint holder, meaning your name is listed as someone financially responsible for the account, then the only way to correct the credit score is to pay the account and be patient.

If you convert a chapter 13 bankruptcy to a chapter 7 will this further affect your credit scores?

Yes converting a Chapter 13 to a 7 will further lower your credit score. It will show up on the public records section at the begining of the credit report. Once as an terminated chapter 13 and a second public record showing the filing of the Chapter 7. Each public record reduces your score. You can potentially be discharged from a Chapter 7 sooner and that's will be the time the clock will start ticking to eventually make it disappear from your credit report which I believe is 7 years for most derogatory entries

Will the trustee for chapter 13 take my bonus from work?

No, but there can be a request for turnover, meaning, if you submit that check stub showing the bonus, and it was not filed as exempt, you could be required to pay that to the court for eligibility of discharge.

Can the trustee order a refinancning of first mortgage in chapter 13?

In my state the trustee can not order this but each State has a percentage of the equity in the home that may have to be used to pay creditors. You can tell the Trustee that you will refinance the loan if you need to after one year. You can Show them FHA Guidelines that state you must make your payments for one year on time before you can refinance or buy another home. You can do this even if you are still in a chapter 13. However your paments can not be more than your piti [ your payment, insurance, and taxes per month. pmi also it you have this ]. You can midigate this by getting an appraisal showing the trustee you do not have the equity in your home. Ask your attorney what the ratio is in your state concerning equity.
