I used to make sour dough bread and after I got it perfected I started making cinnamon rolls with the dough and topped them with powdered sugar icing. I don't know why but I lost weight and I would eat 2 or 3 large ones a day...besides my regular meals. In fact I went to a health food store about 20 years ago and asked them if anyone ever said anything about cinnamon and sugar combined causing weight loss...they had not, but thought it was great that I honed in on the source of my weight loss.
Of course, the sour dough could have played a part in triggering something that caused the weight loss. Unfortunately, I let my sour dough starter sit too long without feeding it and it sort of died. Although I have tried numerous recipes to get a new starter...none turn out the same as my old one
