How come right after you install the custom content on the sims 2 for PC and you start the game again it crashes?

it means that what you downloaded is crashing your game. hopefully you know what file it is that you put in your folder, if not then you have to search through them to find the one that's crashing your game. it happened to me once and i had to search through 5000 downloads.

This is a bug with patch 1.5. Uninstall everything. Then install BF2142, patch 1.4 then patch 1.5. If you also have Northern strike, then your install sequence should look like this: BF2142 Patch 1.4 Northern strike Patch 1.4 again (no joke) Finally patch 1.5 Last, update punkbuster using pbsetup.exe.

There are a couple of ways. If you have the Bon Voyage expansion pack, there's a ghost ship available to buy somewhere under misc, I think. It can be placed on a Bon Voyage beach and has several funny interactions. Alternatively, you could visit Parsimonious (see related links) for a custom-made ship which your sims can fully live in. Parsimonious is a free sims 1, 2 & 3 download centre. There's no registration required, and it's really easy to get the downloads into your game (with a little practice). So you get the zipped folder, open it and double click the little bluish-purple icon. A box should pop up (again, bluish-purple), asking you if you want to install it. Click install, wait for it to install, and then load up the game. It should work, providing you've allowed custom content. I hope this works for you :)
