because he is drunk so he really doesn't even understand anything that is coming out of his own mouth or better yet why don't you just let him drink and as the night goes by just see if he says anything about calling you instead of you calling him or you can just ask him what time is he gonna call you and if it is 20-30 minutes past that time then you call him and if he doesn't answer then I'll leave the rest up to you....!
