I'm not sure exactly what you mean... There are different types of braces. The old fashioned "railroad-tie" braces with bands around the molars, Damon braces (I have these. They are smaller, the wire is heat activated, and more comfortable. They also are cemented, not connected to your teeth with bands). Porcelain braces (white to match teeth but very weak and easy to break brackets) and then some others too.
