Just like your tummy slab tranfers your weight to your leg beams
it will need a suppot element , depper and stiffer concrete members will act as support
Concrete slab reinforcement can be effectively implemented by using materials such as rebar or wire mesh to strengthen the foundation. This reinforcement helps distribute the load evenly and prevent cracking, enhancing the structural integrity and durability of the building foundation.
Different types of Slabs :1. Conventional solid slab:-- the slab which is braced with beams and columns is called conventional slab this kind of slab is small whereas the depth of the beam is large and load is transferred to beams and from beams to columns. These types of slabs are used in constructing Floors of multi stored building. It is of two types.a) One-way Slab.b) Two Way Slab.2. Flat Slab:-Flat slab is a reinforced concrete slab secured directly by concrete columns or caps .flat slab doesn’t have beams.3. Waffle slab:- Waffle slab is a reinforced concrete roof or floor containing square grids with deep sides. This kind of slab is majorly used at entrance hotels, malls, restaurants
as per ACI , the ratio between column & beam concrete grades dont exceed 1.4
When constructing a building, concrete for the beams is typically placed first before the slab. This is because beams provide the structural support for the slab, and the slab is often poured to rest on these beams. Pouring the beams first ensures they are properly integrated into the overall structure and can support the weight of the slab and any loads it will carry.
A downstand beam is a raft that consists of a supporting stand that takes the load of column or walls. The downstand beams is spread to the monolithically cast slab.
Beam is a member which transfers the load of slab and walls to column. Wall is use for partition in between rooms,kitchen,bath to maintain privacy
Supended slab are slab not sit on the ground directlySuspended slab is a slab supported by beams.
The different setting forms for concrete include slab, beam, column, and wall forms. These forms are used to shape and support the concrete as it hardens and cures into a solid structure.
M25 = 80 to 110mm in slab & beam M30 = 80 to 120mm in column
Grade beams works as frame and take the load of slab and diverse to the ground
