The greatest triumph of Mendeleev's periodic table was his predictions of the existence of the undiscovered elements.
Mendeleev table allow predictions on the elements undiscovered at the time.
He arranged elements in order of increasing atomic masses. He left gaps for undiscovered elements. The elements with same properties were grouped together.
yes it is true. that is how the periodic table was established. ----
Dmitri Mendeleev was a Russian inventor and chemist. He is perhaps best known for his version of the periodic table. This helped him predict properties of elements which had not yet been discovered at that time.
The usefulness of Mendeleev's periodic table was confirmed by the discovery of elements with predicted properties.
The greatest triumph of Mendeleev's periodic table was his predictions of the existence of the undiscovered elements.
Mendeleev table allow predictions on the elements undiscovered at the time.
He was able to work out the atomic mass of the missing elements, and so predict their properties. And when they were discovered, Mendeleev turned out to be right. For example, he predicted the properties of an undiscovered element that should fit below aluminium in his table. When this element, called gallium, was discovered in 1875, its properties were found to be close to Mendeleev's predictions. Two other predicted elements were later discovered, lending further credit to Mendeleev's table.
You think probable to Dimitri Mendeleev.
Ekasilicon was the name appointed by Mendeleev to the undiscovered germanium; germanium has similar chemical properties to silicon and tin.
Mendeleev left gaps for undiscovered elements. He predicted their properties which were found to be accurate later.
Mendeleev was able to predict the properties of the yet unknown element (Germanium) by the properties of the surrounding known elements on his periodic table of the elements. Predicting properties such as reactivity, density, atomic mass, etc., he knew where the undiscovered element would be placed.
He made the first ever periodic table, that was the revolutionary thing Mendeleev made.-----01/6/2012Mendeleev's discovery about elements were so revolutionary because he left gaps for undiscovered elements. He predicted the elements properties to get the empty spaces that would later be proven true (the prediction of the other undiscovered elements) in 1875 by a scientist.
Mendeleev arranged the elements in a table with the rows ordered by atomic mass and the columns ordered the elements properties.
because,he predicted some possible chemical formulas of the then undiscovered elements between the elements in his periodic table. so he concluded that more elements with specific properties would be discovered.
Scientists suggest Mendeleev left gaps in the periodic table because Mendeleev knew the elements existed; however, was unable to prove it.
