A vaginal sonogram can not detect pregnancy until you are 6-7 weeks into the pregnancy. A urine pregnancy test has difficulty detecting a low amount of HCG during early pregnancy & because of this it is always best to perform a urine pregnancy test 3-4 weeks after you had unprotected sex.
