What is the back bone made out of?

Your backbone protects your spinal chord, which allows for most of the exchange of information from the nervous system to the brain or vice versa. If you did not have a backbone, your spinal chord would be easily damaged which, if damaged in the right spot, could cause full-body paralysis.

What would happen if glucagon was damaged or missing?

Could not get any Sugers to the cells which means the cells would die off if it was damage.

What would you expect cells to be like if they did not have properly functioning p53?

The absence of p53 could cause cells to copy damaged DNA, which could lead to mutations.

What is the cause of white blood cells in cerebral spinal fluid?

If there are high amounts of white blood cells in cerebrospinal fluid, it could be a sign of meningitis or another infection. It could also signal the presence of a tumor or demyelinating condition.

Embroyonic stem cell will help brain injury?

stem cells are special cells that can differentiate into any kind of human cell. The brain is made up of nerve cells which cannot regenerate. This means that a person with a brain or spinal chord injury is not able to heal. Theoretically, a doctor could induce these stem cells to grow into nerve cells in order to heal a person with a brain or spinal chord injury. In order to do this however they would need to be able to do a lot of research with stem cells first

5 Explain two ways in which stem cells could be used to understand or treat medical conditions?

Stem cells replace damaged tissue with new healthy tissue. This is the absolutely most basic description of why they are so important for the future of medicine. In the future, stem cells will cure hearing loss, vision loss, spinal injury, diabetes, alzheimer's, knee problems, etc., etc., because of replacing tissue in the body that has transformed into "bad" cells from damage or cancer. That is how cancer originates. Cancer orginates from "good" cells turning into 'out-of-control' bad cells. Defeat the unhealthy cells, and replace with new healthy cells. That is what stem cell regeneration will do.

What is impingement of the right ventral hemicord?

The spinal cord is broken into a front (ventral) and back (dorsal). A hemicord impingement means that there is some kind of structure encroaching on half of the spinal cord. In this case, it seems like the right half of the cord is being damaged, more so near the front. A problem with the right half of the cord could leave someone with a lack of proprioception and motor control on the right, below the damaged area, and a lack of pain and temperature on the left, below the damaged area. What would happen if your spine breaks?

Depends on the severity of the breakage. Breaking your back isn't the biggest problem; your spinal column is meant to protect your spinal cord. Problems arise if your spinal column is wrecked enough that it affects the spinal cord (such as a broken spinal column slicing right through the spinal cord. This is why if you shouldn't try to move someone if you think their back is broken, because there's a chance you could do more damage). If the spinal cord is left intact, you could heal without any sort of neurological problems, but it takes quite some time and you have to be very careful while waiting for your back to heal. If the spinal cord is damaged, there is a chance for neurological damage, as well as partial or complete paralysis. The degree of paralysis depends on the location of the damage (roughly: at around the neck, quadriplegia; below, paraplegia).

What is tissue repair?

Tissue repair refers to the regeneration of damaged tissue using cells of the same type. It could either be a physical or mechanical restoration of the injured tissue.

What are the main organs in the nervus system?

The nervous system is influenced mainly by the brain, brain stem, spinal cord and special cells called neurons. The brain and spinal cord are the two main components of the central nervous system (although the spinal cord isn't technically an organ). The skin could also be considered an important organ of the nervous system
