All tourism in Antarctica takes place on the vessels that sail into Antarctic waters. There are no tourist facilities on the continent.
Tourism is managed by the tour operators in sustainable ways, because they follow rather strict guidelines for dumping waste at sea, accessing the continent, enforcing zero littering protocols and so forth.
Because all that is taken from Antarctica are visible views, there is really nothing in these phenomenon to sustain that doesn't already exist.
It could destroy an almost untouched land and there are no hotels or resorts
you could sustainably manage a river by making sure that anything you do doesn't harm the environment, that it meets the needs of people and its cost effective. hope this helped!
To manage deforestation sustainably it would need to be fair to as many different groups of people possible. Every second 1 and a half trees are cut down so maybe they could slow down a bit and cut down less trees.
Antarctica is governed by the Antarctic Treaty (1961), which governs all land and ice south of 60 degrees S. It's management is effective today and requires no additional administration.
Sustainability is when you maintain a certain area or place at a length without interruption or weakening it for the future. So we can manage Antarctica sustainably by allowing only scientist do there job there and by banning tourists and fishermen as tourists increase the risk of pollution and damage and fishermen could increase the chance of extinction of antarctic fishes by overfishing.
Lead is a non-renewable resource, so it could run out if not managed sustainably. Recycling, reducing waste, and finding alternative materials can help mitigate potential depletion of lead reserves.
Antarctica is realatively untouched by human activity. Bringing tourism to Antarctica would in time cause damage to Antarctica. To support tourism (besides cruise ships) facilities would have to be constructed thereby damaging the environment. Humans cause pollution which would damage the environment and kill wildlife.
People who like the cold. Beside people who like the cold, This question could be hinting at the growth of tourism in that area, and the damage it could/is doing. The crux of the matter being do we keep Antarctica as pristine as possible, and just allow scientists to visit, or do we allow tourists to tramp over it. A double-edged sword no matter which why you look at it.
swine flu has meant that i had to cancel my holiday but i managed to get my money back.
You could say that Antarctica is on the southern side -- of earth, that is.
You could row in the seas around Antarctica, but you'd probably freeze to death.
We could try and help Antarctica by not poluting in the Atlantic Seas.
