No, you need a Gamecube controller to play gamecube games on the wii controller is just gonna turn off when u start a gamecube game. But there is a software that you can use but you have to find it and its really hard. I'm still looking myself. What you could do is go to eb games or gamestop and ask them if they know anything about it themselves.
One can purchase a used gamecube controller from ebay. They have dozens listed for sale in various conditions for low prices. One could also look at their local video game store.
it depends on the condition. But usually about $8.00 to $15.00.
If your GameCube controller only vibrates when connected to the Virtual Console (VC) but doesn't respond to inputs, it could be due to compatibility issues. The GameCube controller is not fully compatible with all Virtual Console games, especially if they were designed for different systems. Additionally, ensure that the controller is properly connected and that your Wii or Wii U is updated to the latest firmware. If the issue persists, consider using a different controller or checking for any settings related to controller configurations.
