The only real flying dinosaurs are birds, which can cause injuries but couldn't kill a person. What I believe you are referring to, however, are pterosaurs, which were not dinosaurs, but were flying reptiles. Most pterosaurs would have been the size of medium to very large birds, and would not be capable of killing a human. Some of the biggest pterosaurs include Pteranodon, Geosternbergia, and Quetzalcoatlus. Even though Quetzalcoatlus, the biggest of the three, had a wingspan of 33 feet and stood taller than a giraffe thanks to its long neck. However, it still weighed less than 550 lb. It might be capable of killing a human, but it's unlikely that it would have hunted prey as large as a human. As for Pteranodon and Geosternbergia, they ate fish, not terrestrial animals. Overall, I'd say large pterosaurs could defend themselves against humans, but would not attack them unprovoked.
What most people call "flying dinosaurs" were actually pterosaurs, flying reptiles that were unrelated to dinosaurs. However, birds are considered by most scientists to be a clade of dinosaurs, and thus birds are "flying dinosaurs."

Pterodactylus were pterosaurs, and although pterosaurs are often called "flying dinosaurs," they were not dinosaurs. Pterosaurs were flying reptiles that lived at the same time as dinosaurs, but they don't share the same common ancestor as dinosaurs and thus don't fall into the clade Dinosauria.
