As long as steam was produced and the water in the river was deep enough it could go as far as needed.
If they go pass 6,000 feet they won't be able to see because light disappears there. But if they go REALLY far, they could be crushed by the water pressure.
if you stay in the shallow part you wont drown. My tongan cousins and I would always jump off of this rock into the water. the water isn't that deep but the ocean itself is pretty deep. don't go to far it will get deeper and deeper.
Dolphins can go 23 miles deep in water.
real deep
about 6 miles deep

I go hiking often in the summertime. I have a pair of Timberland hiking boots. They have lasted me 5 years so far.
Depends on how far away it is..
Its all according to the terrain that you are hunting in. Say down in a region where it is very swampy i would go with hip waders because you could be in ankle deep water and the next step could be up to your knees. In mountainous or hilly regions i would go with some more comfortable boots.
Creatures that breath water have no concern for pressure problems. There are species of sharks in the abysmal depths. It is only air breathers that go way down that have problems like the bends and nitrogen narcosis. This does not apply to whales and dolphins as they do not breath when they dive.
you need the water shirt and iron boots then go to the lake and go down in the cave in the island
