Initially Adam got his first fans as a result of being on American Idol Season 8 in 2009. The viewers loved him and came in second. People seemed to like him as an individual as well as a singer and entertainer. After that people would follow him on Twitter, FB and his official website AdamOfficial. As more and more people saw him in the media, heard his songs on radio and tv, etc they would buy his cd's and join fans already following him. Many liked that he advocated that it was ok and important to just be yourself. Altho more fans follow him on FB, it is on Twitter only that he communicates directly with fans.
