Despite rumors of her escape and the claim of Anna Anderson that she was the Grand Duchess, DNA evidence has positively identified Grand Duchess Anastasia's remains. In 1984, DNA testing of Anderson's hair and tissue proved she was not related to the imperial family.
Quite recently, DNA testing confirmed that Anastasia Romanov was killed with the rest of her family. There were bones (or bone fragments) found from each family member of the Romanovs.
Anastasia
There really is no book on Anastasia but the differences between the movie and the true story of Anastasia Romanov is that her family wasn't killed when she was 8 years old, she was 17 when she and her family were exicuted in the "House of Special Purpose's" basement. But her Grandmother did escape the tragidy and live in Paris until she moved to Canada a few years later.

Saint Anastasia is believed to have died around the year 304 AD. She was a Christian martyr who is said to have been put to death during the persecution of Christians under Roman Emperor Diocletian. The exact date of her death is not known.
Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaievna Romanova, the fourth of five children and the fourth daughter of Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarina Alexandra was long thought to have survived the assassination of her family in Yekaterinburg in 1918. It is a great story, and the book "Anastasia" by Peter Kurth makes interesting reading and will have you believing that it was possible, or even likely, that she did survive. The credibility is further enhanced by interviews and statements from the surviving Russian nobility living in exile. The possibility that Anastasia survived has now been fairly convincingly disproven using DNA testing, which has accounted for all members of the family.
Meg Ryan provided the voice of Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanova .
