Helen Keller was curios about everything because she could not see or hear.
Well Helen Keller was blind, deaf, and mute. Anne Frank had to live in an annex which wasn't all that bad. But - Helen Keller's demons were the inability to see, hear or speak, which (with Anne Sullivan's help) she was assured of overcoming. Anne Frank's demon was the evil force of Naziism, which eventually resulted in her death - before she had ever had the chance to grow up. Who struggled more, indeed.

Anne Sullivan, Helen Keller's tutor, was the one who managed to control Helen. When Helen Keller was a child, she was extremely wild and uncontrollable. However, Anne taught Helen to behave herself. Before Anne came, Helen could not really understand the world around her. She did not know the meaning of words and was in the dark. When Anne came, she taught Helen how to communicate properly through the Manuel alphabet and was the one who brought her out of the dark, mainly at that famous water pump scene. (see the Miracle Worker) So it was because of Anne that Helen is women that she is known for today.
Anne Sullivan taught Helen Keller. She taught her to read and write braille. She also taught her to understand the words Anne wrote in her hand. She first communicated with Helen by writing " water " into her hand when they were near a water pump. Anne married John Albert Macy in 1905, and the three lived together until 1912 when they divorced. Helen and Anne had a great 49 year friendship. Anne eventually dies at the age of 70 in 1936.
