Ashley Tisdale was 3 years old shopping with her mom at Shorthills Mall when Bill Perlman, who is still her manager today, was doing a talent scout thought that she was cute and would be great for commercials. But Ashley's mom, Lisa Tisdale, didn't want her in the business, but Bill Perlman kept on pursuing her and gave her his card. After that, Ashley's grandmother had a family member die, so Lisa thought that it would be fun to get Ashley's grandmother up and out of the house so Lisa, Ashley's grandmom, and Ashley all went to New York to go to the audition for Bil Perlman. She auditioned for a commercial for JCPenney and she booked it. She booked seven commericals right after that. She's been making commercials and guest starring on TV shows since then. Later went on the national tour with Les Miserables when she was eight. She has been singing and acting ever since then.
