Barbara McClintock discovered " jumping genes ", transponsons that can leave a section of the genome and insert itself into another section of the genome causing occasional problems in the gene they disrupt. A selfish genetic element that stresses the primacy of the genes eye view concept in Biology.

It changed our world by finding out that it can happen so were aware of it now. It can swap with a different gene. So you can't have the exact same baby ever only if there twins and born at the same time.
