How did Bella know edward was going to take her to the dance?

Well in the book when edward saves her from the van, tyler thought that if he takes her to the dance that would be a way of making up for it.On the night of the dance tyler goes to Bella's house.When he gets there charlie tells him she is with edward.So charlie calls and puts tyler on the phone.edward tells him she is going to the dance with him and that's how she figures out.
