Charles Darwin became interested in Biology and evolution during his time aboard the HMS Beagle. While on this expedition he collected many plant and animal specimens and started seeing some interesting patterns. It was after this trip that he started his serious research, even though it would be several decades until he would propose his ideas on evolution.
