Marquis de Lafayette came to America because he, like many other Frenchmen, hated Great Britain. He decided to come to America to help the Americans fight the many battles against the British. He proved his loyalty to America when he was wounded in the leg during the Battle of Brandywine and stayed with Washington and the American troops at Valley Forge during the cold winter. If you have any other questions about him, let me know! :-)

This question does not really make sense. Why wouldn't Cubans be legal in the US? Cubans have come to the US seeking a better life. What is wrong with that?
because of their government in cuba. Cubas's government, people are obligated to have the same thing and Cubans try to come to usa to have a better live.
Cubans come from an island 90 miles off key west Florida , Cubans are very prosperous people , they do not consider themselves latinos being they are not from latin America but from the antillas it is an island with over 11 million people . they are highly educated due to communism they exiled into north America and other countries all the way to Europe . Cubans are not immigrants they are hopeful to return to their country once the present government ends . their problem is not hunger or bad education but political. cuba at this moment is communist . they consider themselves exiles not immigrants if cuba was not communist there would be no Cubans here . their problems are not of those of south , nor central America they would not be crossing borders to get here just to work in miniual jobs and send back home they love the u.s.a. and are very grateful but they long for their country to be free . what they do not understand is why people cross the border to come here when those countries are not communist why not stay and make ones country rich?
Because by accepting Cuban immigrants, the United States actually tries to erode the Cuban government influence around the world. It is a politically motivated policy.
