Within a month, the troops were executing drills with speed and precision. Because of this, the American Army emerged from Valley Forge as a more efficient and stronger fighting machine.
European officials such as Lafayette aided America in the Revolutionary War by helping leaders such as George Washington prepare strategical plans when heading out for battles against the British. These officials provided what would be considered intelligence information on how the British troops would normally respond to certain situations.
