There are several schools of thought on this subject. Most people believe that they crossed the Bering land bridge when it was above water and entered through Alaska, then made their way down into South America. However, some evidence now points to the fact that people from Asia could have made their way across the ocean into the Americas, and that they probably did so. There most likely was more than one path into this continent.
