Also the evening papers (of which London had six or seven at that time) in the first years of half-tone platemaking, enabling photographs to be reproduced in the press. However, it was the graphic illustrations in the papers that really went to town with wildly fictional drawings of the Ripper and his victims.
The six murders generally attributed to Jack the Ripper occurred between 7 August and 9 November 1888.
That's a matter of opinion we still don't know to this day who he was
because they were all prostitute's. Sad right?

Jack the ripper cut up his victims to show the authorities his deeds. Jefrey Dahmer cut his victims in a more horrific manner that the Jack the ripper. He ate parts of their bodies and made things to go with his furniture with victim's parts.

The murders were covered by every major and minor newpaper in England, including the tabloids. The Ripper was big news in other countries as well. Americans were fascinated with the case and anxiously awaited news of the next victim.
There have been over 10 reported murders on the Appalachian Trail since the 1970s.
