The "Mosaic age" was the old covenant given at Mt Sinai. It was based on following God's laws, which was an impossibility to do, but did teach the nation about sin and the consequences of sin.
When Jesus came to earth as a Babe at Bethlehem, He was the One who would usher in the New Covenant of "Grace".
When Jesus died on the cross for our sins and was buried and resurrected the third day He did in fact usher in the New Covenant. That new Covenant is in the New Testament.
We are not under the "Law". We do not follow the Law. We are in the age of God's grace. God gave us a Savior (Jesus Christ) and all we have to do is accept this Savior and follow Him and we have eternal life.
Instead of trying to follow all of the laws perfectly, which was impossible, we now follow our Savior.
