He took upon himself the sins of all man kind so that we might have the opportunity to return to God. Though He did this we still have to repent of the sins we commit. His paying the debt which our first parents incurred frees us from the debt we owe to God, when we trust in Him. Once we trust in Christ, we are forgiven, so, we are indebted to Him, which out of grateful hearts, we naturally desire to thank Him by our good works. Failure to do so would be like being ungrateful to a fireman who risked his life to save you from a burning inferno.

Romans 3:23 says: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." We should die for our sins, which The Bible calls the second death, perishing in Hell: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23. Yet, in 2 Corinthian 5:21, it tells us: "For he (God the Father) hath made him (Jesus Christ) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

Jesus had never committed any sin. Therefore, He was able, as the sinless Son of God, to pay for our sins by dying on the Cross. When we trust Him, and what He did for us in paying for our sins, we obtain forgiveness and eternal life. The marvelous thing is that He leads the way, for He arose from the grave, defeating sin, and death, and the grave.

God has provided this salvation from sin out of His love for us: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son (to pay for our sins), that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16.

Who forgives sins God or Jesus?

Jesus Christ is the only one that can forgive sins. Because Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, he was able to die in our place on the cross. We should have been the one to pay for our sins, but Jesus did it. He said it is finished. He can forgive our sins if we repent of our sins and put our faith in the work that Jesus completed on the cross.

If Adam and Eve didn't commit sin will Jesus still come?

Would Jesus still have come if Adam and eve didn't commit sin? Jesus came to pay the penelty of sin and reconcile man back to God. So if they had not sinned there would be no reason for him to come in the flesh, as a man, and pay the price for man's sins. While in the garden of Eden, God had fellowship with Adam and Eve in their innocent and sinless state. But once they had eaten of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil they had sinned and hid themselves from God. This began a separation between God and man. Thus Jesus came to atone for our sins and reconcile man to God.

Christian theology holds that Jesus was fully God and fully man. While on Earth, Jesus experienced human emotions, temptations, and limitations, but also performed miracles and displayed divine attributes. Why did the healing of the paralysed man lead Jesus into conflicy with the authorites?

If you are referring to the man with the withered hand, it was because Jesus did the healing on the Sabbath when no work (such as healing) was to be done. If you are referring to the man who was let down through the roof on a pallet, Jesus not only healed him but also told him his sins were forgiven. This was a claim to be divine, for they well knew that only God can forgive sins, and they thought that Jesus was only a man.
