The Greatest LeaderJesus was the greatest leader who ever walked the earth. This is evident by the principles he taught as well as the number of followers that propegated since his day. Considering the influece he has had in history, he would be the world leader of the greatest spiritual movement in the chronicles of mankind. There is evidence to how he led recorded in the writings of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, which reflect his devotion to God, teaching about life and eternity, and the authority with which he spoke and acted on.

How he led was according to "the Spirit within him," and the qualities of leadership were apparent in all his works. Leadership is influence; leadership is simple to understand in principle, and all one needs to do to know how leaders are defined, whether good or bad, is to look behind them and see how many faithful followers support him. In this case, Jesus has had more willing, loyal, and devoted followers than any man has ever had. Leadership is the ability to rally people together for one cause, and this is exactly what Jesus did, and has done through time.

AnswerJesus showed leadership by helping others. Answer:Jesus said to his apostles "...whoever wishes to be great among you will be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you will be the slave of all. For the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many."

Jesus said in order to be a leader you must be a servant to others (this is very different from the way that this evil world works. In this world the 'leader' tells others what to do for him/her - at work, at home, in govt etc). Jesus demonstrated leadership to the apostles in a way they would understand by bending down and washing their feet.

Jesus's ultimate act of leadership was that he died for you and me - How does that sound for leadership? God sent his only son to die for you and for me. Everything Jesus said and did was to teach the way to salvation.

Answer:To me in the least, I didn't see Jesus showing any sort of known leadership.

Jesus to me is just the "Son of God" (which means, coming from the Power/Will that created me) to show me how to become a "son of God". How? Please refer to his 1st and 2nd commendments. (Yes, they are not commandments unless the love you know should be commanded).

Jesus said clearly that he is not a leader on earth:

"My kingdom is not of this world".

In your view describe the leadership styles of Jesus ChristIntroduction

Most leadership literature agrees that leaders are individuals who have vision, who attract followers, are people who share their vision with their followers, and enable the group together to achieve the common goal. Jesus' life of service originated from his relationship with God. As Jesus says, I have come to do the will of the one who sent me. This is made clear in the parable of the vine and the branches, John 15.

Jesus here is very much defining all that he does as the will of his father. Essentially Jesus seems to be saying that I am fit to lead you as servant because I have given myself to the leadership of my father. He gives a similar message earlier in the gospel, Matt 5:16: "let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven". He is saying that our world view needs first to be underpinned by a loving creator God.

And when Jesus sets about recruiting his team, he said, "Follow Me, and I will make you Fishers of Men" (Mat 4:19). The clear message here is that whilst you will be a follower of mine, you will also be a leader, and that a good leader also has to be a good follower. Jesus' clear mission here is to transform the world through transformed people

Leadership styles of Jesus

1. servant leader

Jesus is a servant leader, not motivated by his personal desire for power or status, but to serve. Jesus was prepared to serve everyone, even the one who would ultimately betray him. To illustrate this, he the Son of God, washes the feet of his disciples before the last supper (John 13: 1-20). In doing this he enhanced rather than diminishes his position as their teacher.

Jesus' and therefore God's relationship with humankind is wonderfully illustrated in Luke and Mark's gospel about the disciples on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35, Mark 16:12-13).

In walking along with the Cleopas and his companion, Jesus met them at their point of need, journeyed with them, teaching them as he did so, without them recognizing him

2. Self-awareness

Jesus has perfect self-awareness, rooted in his relationship with God, his father. This is the reality that underpins Jesus' leadership style

Jesus goes on in Matthew's gospel, following on from the parable of the vines, he says this"...12 This is my commandment: love one another as I have loved you. 13 No one has greater love than this, that someone would lay down his life for his friends. 14You are my friends if you do what I command you."

3. Love

Jesus is the sort of leader who lays down his life for his friends. The second pillar of his leadership approach is love. This love is manifested in service to others.

The clearest articulation of Jesus' view on leadership is at the point in Matthew's gospel where the mother of James and John asks Jesus if her sons can sit with him, one on his right hand the other on his left in is Kingdom. Jesus goes on to explain his idea of leadership

Matthew 20:25 (see also Luke 22:26):25But Jesus called them to Himself and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority over them. 26"It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant, 27and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave; 28just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."

4. pre-meditated action

(John 2: 12-22) This gospel account suggests that Jesus' driving out of the money lenders was a pre-meditated action. He went up to the Temple and was appalled at what he found. He then made a whip from cords and drove the merchants and their cattle from the Temple area, and overturned the tables of the money changers. Here we see Jesus furious that the place of prayer is being used as a place where people are pursuing selfish greed. His response in this case is anger and action at unacceptable behaviour.

5. Freedom

Jesus as leader works to unlock the potential in each one of us, respecting our freedom.

6. Jesus the Teacher.

Jesus taught throughout the gospels - to the crowds, to individuals such as Nicodemus, the woman at the well, the rich young ruler, and to the disciples

7. Visionary Leader

(Matthew 28:16-end, Acts 1:1-11) Jesus leaves his disciples with the commission to spread the good news throughout the world. In this commission, Jesus gives vision (what they will achieve) and strategy (how they should achieve the
