Answer 1

Well the Muslims and the Christians fought over land and so did the Jews and they all want the holy city of Israel.

Answer 2

The first thing to recognize is that there were no such thing as a "Jewish society" since Jews were a minority in every single European state, city, and region in which they had a non-zero population. The Muslim European States, like Islamic Spain and the Ottoman Empire had large Christian minorities who were allowed to practice their religion. None of the Christian States allowed for the practice of Islam until the 20th century. There were numerous wars that pitted Christian States against Muslim States (Ottoman conquest of Hungary), Christian States against Christian States (30 Years War), and Muslim States against Muslim States (Taifa Spain). However, when these groups were not fighting, they were making groundbreaking discoveries in science and math as well as developing historiogrpahy and philosophy.
