The River Jordan was where John baptized for the repentance of sin. The River Jordan divides Israel from lands of the non-Jews.
No
Nobody.
Matthew 3:11 - "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire." [NKJV] (Also Luke 3:16)
He baptized them in the River Jordan. People still go there to this day for pilgrimages.
Actually nobody did baptize John the Baptist.
john is the only one who can baptize at that time so jesus chose him to baptize him
He baptized into water, but the one coming after him (Jesus) would baptize into the Holy Spirit.
There were so many people who baptised people the apostles did baptize people, dont know if ou mean John the baptist.
John the Baptist was not a crazy person. people believe that because they would NEVER baptize Jesus or do anything that John did. and since most people don't like to admit this they say that the people who do these things are crazy.
They are following the example of John the Baptist who used the waters of the River Jordan to baptize people.
john was only a human, so he could only bless you with mortal things. but Jesus, however, can bless you with immortal things.
Because St. John also known as St. John the baptist was the first person to ever baptize somebody. He baptized Jesus in the Jordan river and many more people.
